Meet The Team

Eric Kropp, MD

Dr. Kropp is a board-certified family physician who is passionate about caring for patients, families, and his medical community. He values building meaningful relationships and providing care that supports health at every stage of life.

After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Dr. Kropp worked in laboratory research, clinical research and emergency medical services before committing to his true calling as a physician. He received his medical degree from St. Matthew’s University, and completed his formal training at the New Hampshire Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency. He practiced at Penacook Family Physicians for six years before establishing his own solo practice in 2016.

Beyond patient care, Dr. Kropp has been a strong advocate for physician and community health, and is a past president of the New Hampshire Medical Society, having served on the council for 10 years. He also teaches as a Clinical Instructor at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, mentoring medical students and residents.

Dr. Kropp enjoys the full scope of family medicine, with a special interest in musculoskeletal and sports medicine. As a former National Champion Cyclist, he brings this perspective to supporting active lifestyles for both athletes and everyday patients.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kropp enjoys spending time with his wife and three children (or the dog and three cats when the kids are out). He has more hobbies than he has time for, including fine woodworking, and the construction of a replica 1965 AC Cobra roadster.  These days, Dr. Kropp enjoys life balance by attending live music concerts or playing bass guitar with local musicians, including the aptly named physician cover band “No Copay.”

Dr. Kropp’s approachable style, broad background and genuine passion for medicine make him a trusted partner in his patients’ health and wellness.

Heather Gfroerer, RN

In her time away from the office, Heather stays busy keeping up with her two active boys, Jack and Finn, supporting her husband, Matt, at their local family restaurant, and spoiling her dogs, Magnolia, Charlotte, and Hazel. She is active in the community, with Womenade of Concord, as well as on her sons' high school booster clubs.

Heather enjoys reading, making lists, traveling, swimming with sharks, and photography. She is always chasing new adventures - whether beneath the waves, between the pages of a good book, or behind her camera lens.

A Letter From The Doc

Dear Friends, Patients and Future Patients,

Welcome to Active Choice Healthcare!  This is an exciting time to be practicing medicine.  The science, technology, and general knowledge in medicine are expanding at absolutely astounding rates.  Unfortunately, in today’s Health Care world, the Doctor-Patient relationship, that one thing that distinguishes the practice of medicine from all other science, has been whittled down to a skeleton of what it used to be.  A trusting relationship should be the bedrock of our care for patients. However, with our reliance on third party payors, patients are increasingly treated as numbers, or anonymous members of a “population,” rather than as individuals. I have heard the longings from many patients about the good ol’ days when their family doctor truly knew them, and cared not just for them, but about them. Those are big shoes to fill, but I am here to try to reinvent that old-time country doctor, with 21st century technology and medicine.

I hope that you will take the time to understand how Active Choice Healthcare, and our Direct Primary Care model offer you a level of choice and personalization that is hard to come by. I welcome the opportunity to meet you personally to see if we might be a good fit to be your trusted Family Doctor.

Warmest Regards,
Eric Kropp, MD
